We decided to take an active approach towards our fundraising activity, with a very clear task and deadline: 3 MILLION STEPS IN 4 WEEKS.

But, why steps?

We took inspiration from one of our Core Values at Murphy, Never Harm.

We work within the tough but rewarding climate of today's construction industry, where stress, depression, anxiety amongst other mental health issues plague many of our co-workers. Similarly, pollution and greenhouse gasses are corrupting the world we live in.

Walking, a simple everyday task, is known to have many benefits in terms of both physical health and mental well-being. And just like a cherry on top, it's about as environmentally friendly as you can be.

To help enforce this message, and highlight what a serious cause this is, we've enlisted the help of Murphy's very own CEO John Murphy and MD Nick Fletcher, who have been contributing towards our step goal.
