When we first visited the Mount Moriah Cemetery
we were not only in complete awe of its enormity but also in shock at its overall condition. So many of the most historic areas of the property are completely overgrown, and many head stones are buried under thick vegetation and several feet of soil.
Walking the grounds and listening to the stories told by the Friends of Mount Moriah compelled us to want to do something about the current un-kept state of the cemetery. It is estimated that 80,000 loved ones were laid to rest there, and it seemed they were forgotten until the Friends of Mt. Moriah stepped in to try and restore the property to its original beauty - a truly monumental task.Elevate Cinema
would like to raise funds to put together a documentary that will be used to help Mt. Moriah gain awareness and ultimately increase donations that are used to maintain the 200 acre property. Elevate Cinema has donated many hours filming the property and conducting interviews. Unfortunately, we cannot absorb the cost any longer on such a large project and need additional funding to complete the documentary. If our goal is met, any additional funds will be donated directly to The Friends of Mount Moriah
Thank you and God Bless,
