Giving Back Love to Ms. JB

On Sunday, October 2, 2016, our dear friend and colleague, Marly Jean Baptiste, and her family, lost their home and all of their belongings in a fire.  Ms. Jean Baptiste has dedicated her life to helping others in the classroom as well as in her community, near and far.  We have witnessed her generosity towards students, colleagues, friends and strangers, particularly in Haiti.  She would give a stranger the shirt off her back, plus shoes, a coat and a wallet with money to make sure they had a good meal. That’s just who she is. She is love and generosity in action.  At this very moment, Ms. Jean Baptiste is disappointed that she is unable to assist victims in Haiti, but once she is back on her feet, we know that she will.  We need to help her get back on her feet.  We need to show her the return on the love that she has deposited in each of us.  The requested support will help the family get back on their feet and help out with the many extra daily expenses.  Ms. Jean Baptiste is an extremely reserved person, but love is strong, so let’s return some of the love that she has shown to all of us.
