Moving Day is a Filipino, coming-of-age short film, directed by emerging Filipino-Australian filmmaker Jomar Inot. The film explores themes of family, identity, religion, and the immigrant experience within a Filipino household.

The story follows 16-year-old Hiraya as she tries to reconcile her older brother Myron and their mother Maricar during the tense hours before Myron moves out of the family home.

It’s a heartfelt coming-of-age drama about a young girl trying to keep her family together after a feud between her mother and brother, resulting in him leaving home for good. Moving Day is a story told with heart and authenticity, through the film’s themes of family, identity, and the Filipino diaspora.

The raised funds will be used for location, cast, production design, equipment, catering, transport, and marketing costs.
