Help us finish our film embracing Grief & Art
What is [Alt ID]
Friends, we are SO close to reaching our goal, and one of the best-est reasons this project is near and dear to our hearts is two artists, Cheryl Green and Rick Hammond, who provide quality control for our audio description. Cheryl is a multimedia artist and disability activist, and Rick is one half of a podcast hosted by a blind couple living in Portland, “Green Jaylo & Hammond.” Below is an [Alt ID] provided by me for one of Meadow's recent works that will be a part of "Mourning Has Broken," our short animated documentary film about four artists grieving the loss of loved ones who collaborate to create a work of art together. This work is a self-portrait, and here's an [Alt ID] I provided. Alt text tells people, including blind and low vision humans, what an image is, describing basic essential details.
[Alt ID: A girl in her early teens is line-drawn in pinks, purples and peaches. She wears a long sleeve high necked shirt. Her hair is flowing beneath her shoulders, and she wears bangs. She wears a white mask, eyes squinting from a smile beneath and strong eye brows. Her left hand gently touches the side of her face, and her right arm is held straight out toward us, two fingers forming a peace sign. She is on a blue background, and to the right of her are the words 'the artist.']
