Addiction took her years — now she’s fighting for one more moment.

I’m Olga Lee — an LA-based Korean-American actor, writer, and filmmaker. I’ve poured my heart into creating Mother, a story about guilt, forgiveness, and the fragile line between love and self-destruction.

I’ve already taken care of the production setup through my own efforts and resources — assembling the cast, crew, and location needed to make Mother possible. Now, I need your help to share it with the world through festival submissions, marketing, and post-production promotion.

About the Film

Mother tells the story of Ana, a Korean-American woman who reunites with Theo — the son she lost seventeen years ago — in a raw, emotional encounter that blurs the line between blame and empathy, forgiveness and manipulation.

It’s a story about addiction, motherhood, and the powerlessness that substances can hold over human lives, inspired by the real-life legacy of KYCC (Koreatown Youth + Community Center) and the stories of resilience within our community.

What’s Already Done

As the producer, I’ve already taken care of the production setup through my own efforts and resources — assembling the cast, crew, and location needed to make Mother possible.

This has been a true labor of love made possible by everyone’s generosity, dedication, and shared belief in the story.

What These Funds Will Support

Now, I’m seeking support for the next chapter — to bring Mother to audiences worldwide through:

Festival submissions (Sundance, Tribeca, Berlin, Toronto, Venice, and more)

Our goal is to raise $3,000, which will go directly toward these initiatives — ensuring Mother has the platform it deserves to reach and move people around the world.

We’re aiming to reach this goal by October 25th so we can begin submitting to early 2025 festival deadlines.
