Collection for the Lin Family

Donation protected
In November of 2023, our friend Moses Lin began experiencing fatigue and pain that made it difficult for him to do everyday activities and even walk. Elizabeth had to push him in an umbrella stroller. The doctors said there was nothing wrong with him, but he was clearly struggling. I will never forget the sight of Moses's birthday cupcake sitting on the table at co-op, uneaten, because Elizabeth had to take him to the ER midway through the celebration.

It took multiple visits for the doctors to finally diagnose Moses with Nephrotic Syndrome. Since his diagnosis, Moses has been on steroids for months at a time, causing serious stomach pain and side effects that keep him up at night. He has been hospitalized over seventeen times, with two of those visits occurring within this past month.

Whenever a virus or bug goes around (as we are seeing right now), catching it destabilizes Moses's condition. His fluid retention and protein levels become dangerously high, and he has to be hospitalized while the doctors rid his body of the excess fluids and bring his protein back to safe levels.

Jason and Elizabeth have juggled Jason's job, Elizabeth's master's program at Biola, Lily's schooling and activities, and supporting Elizabeth's mother - while switching off to stay with Moses in the hospital day and night. In the midst of their own family's needs, they are prayer warriors and minister to others in their lives with endless generosity.

If you have been praying and offering your words of encouragement to the Lins, please know that they are grateful. Elizabeth and Jason are always saying that they make it through thanks to the prayers of their friends.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to create an opportunity for those who are in a place to help monetarily as well. The funds are sent to Jason and Elizabeth directly through this Go Fund Me. Prayers and encouragement are just as valued and welcome. <3

Update: I set a conservative goal of $1,000 and we are already at that goal! Praise the Lord for the generosity of friends. I know that the Lins can use whatever we are able to collect, especially because Elizabeth is having to pay out of pocket for her Biola class this semester. Please feel free to continue to share this link, and give if you feel able or called to do so.
