I am reaching out on behalf of Morning Song School, a sweet and wonderful preschool that all three of my children attended. Morning Song has been a treasure in the community for nearly 25 years and is a magical, nurturing place of growth and healing for young children. It is very important for Morning Song to be able to survive for the many children who need this unique and special program.
Covid has been very rough on Morning Song. With the school closed and no income stream, Morning Song had to make large, unexpected repairs and changes. Most of the necessary work has been completed and paid for, however, in the process, the program lost their play structure, children’s garden beds and a few other things that are an integral part of the program.
An enriching and wonder-filled outdoor experience is key to healthy children and how they interact socially with one another, the environment and the plants. The children spend much of their time outdoors working and playing together, learning to grow food, caring for nature, learning to nurture the environment and their bodies, and interacting socially as they learn to build relationships.
In order to reopen asap and invite children in, Morning Song is hoping to raise a minimum of $8,500 to help complete the work. The funds will directly be applied to:
~ Building a simple, durable, creative play structure for children to climb, swing, slide
~ Completion of the sand, water pump and digging area
~ Building the garden beds where the children will plant and grow food together
If you (or anyone you might be able to share this fundraiser with) may be able to donate any amount at all, every dollar is accepted with great appreciation. No amount is too small. If you prefer to make a tax-deductible donation, we have a 501c3 non-profit organization. If you prefer this method, please reach out for more info. [email redacted]
