On behalf of friends, family and colleagues we would to like to raise much needed funds for our great friend, son, brother Armando Mendoza.
In January, after what felt like a normal day Armando felt as if had experienced what seemed to be an anxiety attack, so when he returned home he decided to go to bed in hopes he would wake up to continue living his life. January 28th is the day everything changed for him, Armando woke up with his heart racing and one side of my face was numb. Out of fear that he may have experienced a stroke he went to the ER, where they told him it was probably an anxiety attack and he was overthinking it. So he continued living normally, he even took a trip to San Francisco to only find that he could only walk short distances and even then he became extremely exhausted. Armando couldn’t walk straight and everything around him appeared to be slanted. That’s when he decided to take matters into my own hands, he began a plant based diet and starting working out daily. He started meditating to relax his mind and lift his spirits. Armando even gave acupuncture a try. Unfortunately, it all came to a quick end when the pain in his legs and throughout his body became much more severe. Everthing in his body started giving out on him as the days continued. Armando is having trouble breathing, has pains throughout his body, constant urination, neuropathy problems, IBS, and constant migraines.
Through all of these symptoms Armando had been to the ER five times in six months, and was given only antibiotics after being told he had a bladder and throat infection. All the symptoms Armando was experiencing didn’t add up to a bladder or throat infection in his or anybody elses mind, so you can only imagine his frutration with the hospital and its doctors. He knew something wasn’t right. During on the ER visits Armando was asked to have an MRI of his brain and his neck to see if he had a tumor or some lesions in his brain. The results came out that he was fine and was cleared to leave. The next route was a neurosurgeon so they could check on the condition of his nerves and spine. Having had surgery in 2010, 2012, and 2014 he figured it may be something due to the nerves acting up again. After several MRI, CT Scan, and a nerve conduction they found out that everything was normal and nothing had changed from the fusion he had in 2014.
Finally, after a lot of lab tests family doctor found his hemoglobin was too high, vitamin D was low, has arthritis and worst of all, possible lupus. I say possible because the doctor said that Lupus was very hard to diagnose. He referred him to a Rheumatologist and a Neurosurgeon but has yet to see them due to them not accepting the type of insurance that Armando has. He was given pain killers/muscle relaxers to treat his illness. Norcos, Percocet, Gabapentin, Alprazolam are just some of the medications prescribed to him that were supposed to help treat his illness. Most of these prescriptions are pain killers/ muscle relaxers which as most of you know simply just temporarily get rid of the pain.
Armando has told his family and friends that he gains no benefit from these medications, his anxiety is at an all-time high, his body feels like it’s giving up on him, and worst of all they’ve assisted in distancing him from family and friends. Not to mention the state of my health hasn’t improved whatsoever. This is where his idea of taking a new route came into play. He has been researching and came across a different treatment. He swears by this treatment and most importantly has given him faith that he can feel better.
Initially the plan was taking Armando to a facility in Florida but seeing that it is way out of his budget, he has found a facility that has given me this newfound hope in Los Angeles, California, known as Dr. Sebis office which is still very expensive but much more achievable. Dr. Sebi is an herbalist, who supplies a variety of plant derived remedies and formulas that detoxify the body, which he calls cell food treatment. This is a much more natural approach that heals the cells, replaces them, and helps detox toxins in the body. Some examples of what he would be taking are fucus capsules, fucus liquid, bromide plus capsules, bromide plus powder, and green food, to name a handful. In order to even have somewhat of a chance at this treatment he needs additional assistance. Armando has been trying to save as much money on his own, but still paying off the last 7 months of his medical finances is making it a difficult goal to achieve. With your help we can speed up the process and get the right treatment. Armando can’t take it anymore; it’s getting in the way of his normal day to day life. Time seems to be passing by so quickly and he has mentioned that he would really like to feel better sooner and in desperate need of help. Please help him and his family take this healthy new approach.
For anyone who knows Armando, knows how strong he is. He is full of love, generosity, humor, and life. Armando never gives up. He is a brave, a fighter, and a faith believer who has big dreams for his future. He is that kind of son, friend, brother, and boyfriend that everyone needs.
I know this will work, it has to! Your help would be greatly appreciated, anything would help, anything! Thank you.
