I married my best friend and the love of my life 2 months ago, on our honeymoon she was getting a little winded, it went away and came back to where she couldn’t hardly walk, went to the er her hr kept going up to 180 when she stands, they did blood work and her calcium was elevated and her d-dimer was really high, expecting a blood clot they did a ct scan with dye and found nothing.. sent us home after a couple bags of fluid…
6 days later we was at another er and when we first went in the ekg showed she was svt so took her straight back.. the other ekg all showed she was and was fine… calcium came back and was elevated again. Did another ct scan and found some lesions on her spine and hip and a big one on her l4.. they must of taken 12 Vials of blood, did a 24hour urinalysis. And her oncologist expecting it to be multiple myeloma ordered a bone marrow biopsy. After the biopsy we was able to come home.
Wednesday we followed up with our oncologist after that and they confirmed they found metastatic cancer in her marrow but not sure of the primary the doctor ordered a pet scan and they did more bloodwork to check for different tumor markers, so far the only thing that was elevated was her ca-125 for ovarian cancer but wasn’t enough to confirm that as the primary and the pathologist ruled that out since the smear test of the marrow showed negative for that.
Since then the test came back negative for myeloma. We have been to our first appointment to start radiation on the lesions, and had another ct scan done for that, the treatment plan they said will take a week to a week and a half to get ready.. We have a appointment this wed the 26th for a mammogram and MRI and we have a pet scan appointment this Friday the 28th
Molly is the most gorgeous, sweet ,selfless. Best mother, smartest person I’ve ever met in my life. This past Sunday walking into church she couldn’t hardly make it in from getting so winded and even tho she couldn’t stand to worship she still had her hands up singing. We know God is in control and he is going to allow the doctors to find out where this has came from and she’s going to beat this because God will receive this glory!
This is definitely the hardest thing either of us has ever had to go through. 2 days before we went to the er I turned my notice in for a job that’s 1 minute from our house with better pay. And they only allowed me to work 2 and a half days of my notice and fired me. After being there since march of 2021..
Molly was on my insurance and that will run out July1st and my new insurance at my new job will not go into effect for 90 days.. so we are going to have to purchase private insurance for now, and pay a lot out of pocket.
I have to start my new job the same day July 1st since they have already allowed me to postpone my start date so I can be by my wife’s side through all of this. I want to take some of the stress off of Molly so she can rest and not worry about all these accumulating doctor bills,
Although she has told me at first she didn’t want me to start a go-fund me, we feel like it could help take some of the stress off and also allow others to be blessed from giving. We haven’t told our kids about the cancer yet they just know she’s sick, and if you can’t give that’s okay too, just pray for us. Send her some encouraging thoughts and let her know we all will be by her side through all of this until she is healed from this evil and we can spend the rest of our lives knowing that God was at the center of this.
