                           The Molinares-León Family

After moving from Oklahoma to Houston, over 2 years ago, the Molinares-León Family was settled down and planning accordingly for the future. With Carlos (father) working on the oil industry and Liliana (mom) taking care of their daughter Camila (9 years old) the future looked promising for this young family. They acquired a house on Katy, TX earlier this year but, the oil prices crisis hit the family and Carlos lost his job last May. Unfortunately, losing his job not only meant for Carlos a financial struggle, but the loss of the entire family’s immigration status. This situation forced the Molinares Leon to move back to Colombia and start once again to plan for the future.

But there is always light at the end of the tunnel and Carlos got accepted at The University of Oklahoma to pursue his PhD studies. He was supposed to start his studies this coming fall.  Sadly, the unexpected happened: Liliana Leon passed away tragically on July 5th.  Now Carlos and Camila need to star over in Colombia, change their plans and once again move forward. All these unfortunate chain of events has left Carlos alone dealing with their grieving and doing his best to help Camila overcome the loss of her mom. But Carlos has to also deal with monthly mortgage payments on a house they can’t live in. Other expenses the family has gone into include moving expenses from The USA to Colombia, Camila's tuition and many other things brought up by this tragedy. Carlos does not have a job in Colombia yet and his PhD plans are frozen, since it is healthier for him and his daughter to cope with the loss in the company of their family.

Because of everything described above, friends and family have decided to help Carlos and Camila raise some money to cover their mortgage payments at least until they manage to sell or rent the property. But we don’t only want to limit this help to family and friends; we want to reach out to the hearts of those touched by their tragedy and are willing to help.

Liliana was a terrific and outstanding mother and wife; she had willingness to serve those who surrounded her. Lili always faced difficult situations with hope and a smile on her face. She will always be remembered and will have a place in our hearts. This is the best way we have to help her family while she protects them from heaven. Much Love and thanks for taking the moment to read their story and helping this lovely family to get some relief in these hard times.

Finally, we would like to ask you courteously to keep this cause private and to only share it with people you know. Please do not use social media to share it.
We want to respect the Molinares-León family grieving time.

Thanks for your contribution,

Molinares-León Family and Friends.
