Send Mitchell to Interlochen

Mitchell just spent his junior year of high school at Interlochen Arts Academy, and he loved it so much he wants to attend senior year there, too.  At the end of the academic year, his father lost his job, and is having difficulty finding another one.  We humbly ask our friends and family to help us complete our family's plan of sending him back to Interlochen for his senior year. It's not cheap, but worth every penny, and we rank high in the penny pinching department!

Mitch (as his friends call him) earned himself a lot of financial aid and scholarship, but there are extra fees for things like:

Books and music:  $600 per year
Technology fee:       $625 per year
Health services fee:  $130 per year
Music services fee:  $430 per year
Music Accompanist fee: (what high school provides accompanists???  even most colleges don't!)   $260 per year
Music private lesson materials:  $315 per year
Lessons on a secondary instrument: (piano in Mitchell's case) --- $862.50 per semester
Uniform:  $200 per year
Tuition: $15,000 remaining

He didn't even have to adjust to life on campus.  It fit him to a tee.  He knew his roommate from summer camp. His dorm mother and managers report sincere enjoyment having him under their care.  

We, his parents, are hoping to set him up in his chosen field so that he can be successful in ways beyond our own careers.   The music business is a tough business.   Everybody knows that.  The experiences and training he receives at Interlochen make all the difference for a successful life in music.  

We've never asked for money before for any reason so this feels awkward.   It's all for Mitchell!  Please know that no amount is too small.  Join us!  Help us sustain Mitchell in his desire to continue his studies at one of the world's premier fine arts institutions for young people.
