Memorial 5K for Mitch Adams
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Emma Zoellin. I am a senior at Nevada Union High School. On August 24th, our classmate Mitch Adams was in a terrible car accident on his way to school. He fought hard and underwent 2 brain surgeries, but later that Thursday he passed away.
We were all touched by him and his loss so much that myself and two of my friends have decided to put on a 5K Marathon for our senior project in memory of Mitch. All of the money that is raised for “Paint the Town Blue” will be going to his family to offset funeral costs and also set up a scholarship in his name. We want this event to act as a celebration of Mitch’s life for the community, and raise awareness for safe driving. Also, we hope to spread awareness and knowledge to teenagers about becoming donors. Mitch was a donor, and his body helped 50-60 people, including a 16 year old boy that received his heart.
We hope this event can be a tribute to his family and bring them comfort in seeing all of the support our community has for Mitch. To make that happen, we are looking for donations that will help us with the costs of shirts, food, banners, advertisements, a stadium sign dedicated to Mitch, etc. Any donation helps us make this event happen.
Mitch loved this community and his football team. We hope his love and presence at Nevada Union can be remebered through this event. We are having it on March 6th, 2016. Thank you for helping us remember and celebrate Mitch's life.
