Hello!
I'm raising money for my future classroom at Raoul Wallenberg High School in San Francisco! This August, I will begin teaching 10th and 12th grade English to ~180 students!
While I am very excited for this opportunity, I need to make sure that I do not lack the resources to support my students' learning. I want my classroom to be a space where students feel empowered, capable, and safe, and I need the aid of various (and rather basic) materials to implement the pedagogies that allow my classroom to be such a place.
Wallenberg is a very diverse school and students have varying degrees of need. My goal is to provide notebooks and binders for each student, ensure that we have enough copies of each novel, and stock my shelves with other necessary materials (e.g. mini-whiteboards and poster paper for group work, index cards for various activities, Post-its, markers, folders, staples, paper, etc.).
