Sending Miranda Benitez to College
Donation protected
When my beautiful daughter Miranda said she wanted to attend Buffalo State University to begin her college career, I got scared but was excited at the same time. I’ve always seen her as my baby, but now my baby is growing up to be a wonderful young woman.
Miranda is a free spirit who steadily chases her dreams while remaining open to trying new things. I have always admired this about her. Her ability to balance her school work, extra-curricular activities, part-time job and be a role model for her younger sister is not only inspiring, but also fulfilling for me as a single mother.
She is currently part of the National Honor Society (NHS) and volunteers at school and community organizations. Miranda enjoys singing with her high school choir and has had the opportunity to perform for the cast of MOTOWN: The Musical, sing with Linda Eders, perform at Carnegie Hall, New York Theater Workshop, Disney Land, and even onGood Morning America.
With all of her recent accomplishments, I only want to see Miranda continue to succeed in this next chapter of her life. Though we received some financial aid it is not enough to cover her first year away at school entirely. So, I am turning to the people in my life and the people in our worlds to help make Miranda’s dream of attending Buffalo State University a reality.
Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
I am looking to reach the first half of $5000 by her Graduation on June 25 and the balance before she leaves to school on August 23.
Thank you for your time and have a blessed day!
Love,
Lisa Benitez (and Miranda)
