Michael E. Kirk Jr. Memorial Fund
Donation protected
As friends and brothers of Mike, we are asking each of you to come together for Mike and his family to help in any way possible in this time of sorrow. In lieu of flowers, his family is asking that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
Mike has been a huge part of so many of our lives. Whether you were a classmate, a teammate, friend, family, or casual acquaintance of Mike, you know how contagious his smile was and how he possessed the ability to turn any moment into one that will be remembered for years.
Many of his high school and college teammates will remember suiting up with Mike on the football field. His family has celebrated many Derby festivities throughout the years, from steamboat races to Derby day gatherings. Friends will remember many Halloween/Birthday celebrations from 2nd and Bloom to Smyrna to Greenup. My hope is that many of you were able to share in these memories with Mike, or make others of your own. I will personally remember his “Honey Holes” that never resulted in many fish and the many conversations that we shared that always left a lasting impression.
The love that flows through the Kirk family is apparent. The support that they have always shown for one another and the fun times they shared with each other and everyone involved has never wavered. I am asking each of you, from the bottom of my heart and the heart of all of his friends and family, to return this love and support. All donations are welcome and are so greatly appreciated, in any amount. You will also have the ability to submit donations at the funeral home, if you wish to do so.
Please come join us to show our love for Mike on Thursday between 2 and 8 p.m. at Bosse Funeral Home on Barrett and Ellison Avenues. The funeral services will be held Friday morning.
Once again, thank you for any support.
We love you Mike.
