Goal of this fund is to benefit my friend, Annette Pietronico's 2 sons, in the most direct way. A huge fire broke out this past Monday, April 18, early morning on West 26th Street in Bayonne NJ.
Our friend, Michael Elam the father of Jordan (21) and Noah (17) all reside next to the home that burned down on 26th street and have lost many items in their home. Their losses are a result of damaging smoke that blew into their home & water damage as the Fire Department had to continually spray their home to prevent it from catching fire.
Monetary donations will help Michael, Jordan and Noah replace clothes, shoes, furniture, bedding etc. Somebody inboxed saying "we don't like gofundme, is there another way to contribute?" They feel so blessed that while it is stressful to be displaced during renovations; they are grateful that nobody was injured. So far the only damage besides their clothing/shoes/furniture/bedding are floors that have to be replaced and possibly walls. The Building Inspector will complete a further inspection very soon.
We started this because we saw these pages for other victims of this fire; but after almost a week, we noticed that no one else had done so for the Elam family whom we know and we wanted to do something that felt productive and positive to help this family who will be very thankful for any help that comes their way.
