Mika's Brain Tumor

Hello friends and family. My husband is a beloved high school principal who loves to joke and have fun and inspire the lives of all the teachers and students he works with.  Five years ago he bravely fought and conquered his brain tumor and we thought that part of our lives was in the rearview mirror.  Then right after Covid19 restrictions and travel bans ground normalcy to a halt, we found out his tumor had returned.

He has gone from being fiercely independent, motivated , driven, fun, engaging, and a confident provider to a shell of his former self as the brain tumor steals him away from us. He is now unable to provide for our family. He can no longer walk or care for himself.  He tries so hard to talk and communicate what is in his heart but the tumor has taken even that from him. He sleeps 20 hours a day. In the last six weeks he has declined rapidly. His school isnt the same without him. He misses all his students and teachers and they all miss him. 

We've been trying for months to get him out of Samoa for the surgery he needs to bring him back to us. This has proven near impossible due to border closures and overseas treatment programs in New Zealand being put on hold indefinitely due to covid 19,  ... until now. We have a window to get him to the US for treatment and really need help with airfares and medical costs as we have lived outside the US for many years and have no health insurance to cover medical costs.

Please help bring our Mika back to us.  Our utmost appreciation for anything you can do. Let's get Mika better!
