The Mrs. Michelle’s Sweet Legacy Scholarship will be awarded each year in loving memory of Mrs. Michelle McMillan, whose beautiful heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of hundreds of dancers and families. As co-owner of Lisa & Michelle’s Ecole de Danse, she shared not only her love of dance, but also her kindness, compassion, and unwavering encouragement with everyone who walked through the doors.

Mrs. Michelle believed that dance was about more than technique. She taught dancers to be kind, to support one another, and to lead with their hearts. Her favorite reminder to “be sweet,” became a way of life for so many of her students and continues to inspire our studio today.

This scholarship recognizes a dancer who embodies the qualities that made Mrs. Michelle so special. The recipient should demonstrate humility, a genuine love and for dance, passion, and a kind and caring spirit toward others. They should be someone who dances with joy, encourages their classmates, and represents the values of the studio both on and off the stage.
