Help Michelle, Sadie & Sophia
Donation protected
For those of you who know Michelle Hodapp, you know what a generous and loving soul she is and how much her children mean to her. She had Sadie Dean in 2003 and Sophia Rose in 2008. She shared custody of her daughters with their father Shaun Dubois, who in a heartbreaking and horrific accident, passed away on the night of May 23 during a camping trip with his girls.
Over the past several years, Michelle has worked several jobs to make ends meet, but has struggled financially. She recently lost the home she made for her daughters when their landlord unexpectedly put it on the market. In order to save funds, Michelle has been renting a room from a friend while the girls spent majority of their nights with their father. Due to the recent and terribly unfortunate circumstances, Michelle will now be the only source of income in order to raise her girls.
Michelle, Sadie and Sophia have a very long road ahead of them. Overnight, these sweet children lost their father. Fortunately, they have a loving support system of friends and family who will console and guide them through the difficult days that lie ahead, but they need more than that. In order for Michelle to be a pillar of strength and devote her time and attention to the healing of her girls, she will need to be free from her current debt and financial struggles and will need to provide the following:
- Shelter: this will include first month, last month, and security deposit on a home
- Grief Counseling: in the event that we are unable to find free youth and adolescent programs nearby
- Miscellaneous: food, clothes, school supplies, insurance, etc.
I've personally known Michelle for nearly 30 years and I can say wholeheartedly that she is the first to contribute when someone needs help. She will drop anything and everything to lend support, and now it's our turn. Michelle, Sadie and Sophia need us.
Anything that you can contribute to build a good life for these kids will help tremendously. No amount is too small, and even if you cannot donate, please share. Your help is forever appreciated.
Thank you,
Kristal
