Michaela was admitted to the hospital to have Kash on 4/25 and as of 4/26 she had stopped breathing. She was placed into a medically induced coma due to having pneumonia, kidney failure and a MRSA amongst other things. She had stopped breathing due to the infection spreading to her lungs and eventually her heart. She was doing a tiny bit better day by day, lowering her oxygen levels. Baby steps, but it was progress!! At approximately 3pm on 5/07 we were notified that she had taken a turn for the worse and she had an irregular heartbeat. We were told that she may not make it through the night. In true Kala fashion, she made it until 1230A on 5/08. As happy as we are that she was able to stay strong enough to bring a healthy baby boy into this world, we are also saddened by the loss of her at  the young age of 28. We, as a family, are now trying to cope with the loss, make appropriate service arrangements and make sure baby Kash has everything he needs. 

ANYTHING helps, we will even take well wishes and prayers.
