Extend the D. Blakeley Hoar Sanctuary Boardwalk

Hello! My name is Michael Zhu.

I'm a Life Scout at Troop 6, Brookline, and I graduated from Edith C. Baker School in 2021. Throughout my scouting career, I have been working on my Eagle Scout project. This project strives to improve the D. Blakely Hoar Sanctuary's boardwalk in particular and overall make the sanctuary a nicer and safer place for our local community in South Brookline. As a student of Baker School, the sanctuary holds a special place in my heart. Through the assistance of my mentor Jason Soderblom and the representative of my beneficiary, the Conservation Commission, Thomas D. Brady, we created schematics that will be used for the construction of the Boardwalk. This boardwalk will be extended to prevent people from getting hurt on the muddy ground by around 25 feet.

The funding and money that people provide will be put towards the costs of the wood and other sorts of materials being used in this project.
