On 7/10/17, Michael Jack started coughing up blood. So, we went to the ER at Loma Linda University Medical Center (in Murrieta), and he was admitted. His diagnosis was thought to be pneumonia, and 4 CCs of fluid was removed from his lungs. A CT scan was performed, which revealed tumors. However, a biopsy was needed to confirm if the tumors are cancerous. He was discharged on 7/15/17 and told to find a primary care doctor, as well as follow-up with a pulmonary specialist. 

A week later, we received heart-breaking results: Michael has stage 4 metastatic small cell lung cancer. The cancer has spread throughout his body - neck, spine, hips, pelvis, bones, and abdomen.

We are seeking assistance to help with the cost of Michael's medical care - chemotherapy and medications. Also, the funds will help with our travel and living expenses. We are researching financial aid programs, such as the American Cancer Society, so, if you know of any, then please let me know!
