Michael Rios Funeral Expenses

Hi! My name is Dennis, and I am writing this with a heavy heart for my wife Penny Rios-Emigh. We are both Deaf so please forgive any grammatical mistakes:

My wife Penny lost her son, Micheal Rios, whom we called Mikey on December 20th at 3:11 AM. Mikey was 34 yrs old and passed away in General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre.

At Birth, Mikey was diagnosed with special needs complicated with ADHD and Smith-Magenis Syndrome. He was also born with abnormal kidney functioning. Mikey finally received a kidney transplant on Christmas day in 2000. He had dealt with many health issues throughout his life. In February 2021, Mikey was admitted to the hospital for a sepsis infection & suffered cardiac arrest 4 different times from which he was revived until his most recent cardiac event that recently ended his young life.

Mikey brought such joy to our lives. He was the personification of LOVE. He showed the kind of love that could only come from God above! Mikey was the type of person who cared about others despite his own health issues and pain. Regardless of his limitations, he showed and shared limitless love and caring.

 

Please help by contributing to this very serious need!

Our family is absolutely devastated by Mikey’s passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the funeral service, especially after all the recent hospital and medical costs. The $7,000 funeral quote, includes following costs: the rental casket, viewing place and time, cremation and urn.

Our family will need to pay all funeral costs by January 8th 2022.
