VFW Memorial to a Fallen Soldier

We, at Iron Smoke Distillery, have great respect and are humbled by those who put on the uniform of our military.
It takes special men and women to say they will fight for and protect the freedoms of others, even if it means putting their own life in peril.

On this Veterans Day, we ask that you help us show our local veterans that their service was appreciated by our community.

Sadly, VFW 8495 in Fairport was vanadalized this week.

The iconic statue, “Memorial to a Fallen Soldier” was destroyed.  We cannot let this senseless act stand, and so we ask you to take action with us. Whether or not the culprits are caught, we need to show our local veterans that we stand with them in saluting their fallen brothers and sisters.

As such, Iron Smoke Distillery pledges to match every dollar raised until we have enough to replace the statue for our friends and neighbors at the VFW post.

Our goal is $3800, which we will leave to the discretion of the post as to how to deploy. Should others in the community also raise funds, these funds will go towards enhancing “freedom hill,” where the statue resides.
