UPDATE! The goal is not the limit, it’s just the beginning. Proceeds above the 5k goal will go toward preventing future tragedies like this from happening again. A memorial fund in Shawn’s name will be created and used to sponsor wellness events for our young resident doctors in training. We will be working closely with Dr. Chirurgi at NY Metropolitan to make this happen. Much love and thanks to you all and hope to see many of you soon.
OUR STORY
Daily those in the medical profession treat the sick and needy often placing the health of others before themselves. Shawn was no exception, never letting on that he was hurting. He will be missed sorely. In memory of you Shawn we hope to gather, show our appreciation for your impact on our lives, show our support for each other and hopefully start on the long path toward closure. This site is a means for us to help support that memorial so that those closest to you do not have to bear the financial burden alone and so that, in your name, we can hopefully prevent this from happening again.
