Memorial for Ricky Ingram

Donation protected

On May 3rd 2021, Ricky Ingram fought his last fight for his health. He spent the majority of his 55 years of life battling rheumatoid arthritis and encountered many complications from it over the years. After a close call with an infection in 2017, Ricky recovered and was living life to the fullest (to the doctors amazement.) In 2020 he had another health scare after an allergic reaction to steroids prescribed to battle the recurring infection and he ended up with a tracheotomy. Still he battled on (and the trach was removed) and continued living life and perplexing doctors. In February 2021, Ricky was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to multiple places including his brain and his femur. After having surgery on his femur to remove the cancer and a rod placed so that he would be able to walk again, he was hopeful to be able to battle the remaining cancer with radiation and chemo and beat it like he conquered all his other health problems. Unfortunately, he was never able to receive chemo and given a time frame of months to a year to live. He passed away mere weeks later. Despite all of his health issues, he always was ready to joke and laugh with the people he loved.

As most people knew, he and Lisha lived on a limited income due to health problems. In March of 2021, in the midst of battling Ricky’s cancer, Lisha had a major stroke which left her with paralysis on the left side of her body. We are now faced with the challenge of paying for Ricky’s funeral expenses and also finding Lisha a more suitable living situation now that she has mobility issues and will be losing part of their already limited income. Ricky did not have any life insurance and all expenses are being paid out of pocket.

We are asking for donations to help cover the funeral expenses, with any additional to be used to help Lisha move. Ricky was a fighter through and through. He and Lisha always took care of each other and now we need help making sure she gets the care Ricky would want her to have. As always, continue to keep our family in your prayers. Thank you!
