HEY EVERYONE!

It's my birthday! YAY!

February 3rd, TODAY, I turn 37 - Can you believe it?! Do I look it? Don't answer that. LOL

This year for my birthday, I want to invite you to my online Go(d)fundme Birthday Party!

I'm praying that 118 people will give $37 for my 37th bday for my kids in Uganda. My desire this year is to give them a business so they can be empowered to sustain themselves. These funds will provide them with a vegetable garden & motor taxi business (boda boda) that will provide revenue so that they can care for themselves to cover their monthly needs and be able to pay school fees for my 7 kids (orphans) to get through school.

The funds we raise this month will cover:
1. A vegetable garden - $400
2. Two Motor Taxis plus Insurance- $1,800 each ($3,600 total)
3. Gofundme fees- $396

10 years ago I met Ethel* in Kampala Uganda. She was about 17 years old full of dreams and hope despite her very difficult life and circumstances. Since then we've been in contact and have become family. She's a dear sister to me and even somewhat a daughter to me. One of her dreams was to create LaLuz Action Ministries where she cares for the orphaned. Since then she now cares for 7 children who are now becoming teens and young adults.

In the last 10 years, by Gods provision through HIS people, we've been able to provide Ethel* and all the children with a safe place to live, clean running water, in-house bathroom, a shower, & electricity.

Isn't that awesome?!

Thanks to all who have given in the past to make this possible!!

But month-to-month, some can give and some can't. One of my dreams for Ethel* which she has shared with me many times is to have her own business so she can sustain herself and the kids to get through school to get an education.

Last fundraiser, my friend Fabi helped by participating in a marathon to raise funds. It allowed for us to pay some school debts, buy food, household needs and also help them start a small soap business which has helped with the monthly cost of food. Now we're shooting for a boda boda business. This will allow for a steady income to help with all the monthly bills, needs, and school fees.
