Help bring a new modern convenience store to the center of Five Points (DENVER, CO)
With all of the changes in Five Points we are still missing food options. We are also missing entry level jobs and opportunities for local food producers to market, demonstrate their foods to the community.
**Checks can also be mailed to Melody Market, 2590 N. Washington Street. Denver CO 80205.**
The store, Melody Market, will be well lit with a variety of convenient packaged & fresh foods. It will feature a tech savvy, contact-less environment. To make the shopping experience unique, the decor of Melody Market will be a celebration of black history - a continuation of the story told on the historic plaques around the neighborhood. The vision is that the decor will feature imagery and the music of black American entertainers, and faces of athletes and artist who contributed to the historic cultural legacy of Five Points. The store will also create jobs, and opportunities for partnerships with local food producers.
Contribute to this project. Help bring melody back to Five Points!

GOALs of the Melody Market Project:
Cultural Exposure - Build a modern convenience store, that celebrates black history, at the center of Five Points
Nutrition Building - Provide more fresh food and snack options for residents of north Denver
Community Building - Serve residents seeking convenient shopping for food with self check out and a small store format
Economic Development - Create local retail jobs

LOCATION: The location of the new Melody Market is great. In addition to being located in the the heart of Five Points the location has a steady and impressive amount of foot traffic. In August of 2020 we monitored the traffic that passed by in front of the location. The numbers range from 30 to 100 pedestrians an hour and an average of 200 cars per hour.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, we need to modify the inside of the space, purchase shelving, the inventory of food options and then open the store - we would also like to upgrade the security system in the unit. Support from the community is needed to make this vision a reality.
Ideally, with your support, Melody Market will open in February 2021.
