Melissa Niebling Memorial Education Fund

Our dear friend and colleague, Melissa Niebling, passed away suddenly in February. To honor her memory as we mourn her loss, Melissa's colleagues at SMBC have created a GoFundMe page to support her four-month-old daughter's college education fund (a 529 plan). As her former colleagues and friends, we would like to share this with others in the institution, as many have asked what they can do to support Melissa’s family. Please note that this is not an SMBC initiative, but instead represents the efforts of a group of individuals who have come together to support Samantha.

Melissa was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, colleague, mentor and, most recently, mother. Melissa gave birth to her daughter, Samantha, in November - she was thrilled to be a new mom and loved showing off photos of her baby girl. We know Melissa would have been touched that her colleagues and friends are coming together to support Samantha.

Those of us who wanted to help set up this GoFundMe page to ensure that Samantha will have the financial support to pursue her future education. 100% of contributions will go directly to Samantha's college fund - and every dollar we raise will make a difference.
