Hi! My name is Melissa Dusin and I am a single mom to three absolutely beautiful children :)

It has been a very difficult struggle as a single mother with three children, but I recently have been given an opportunity to change our lives for the better... I got accepted into the PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Program!!!


But I have hit a road block :( The school that I was accepted into does not participate in student loans any longer (Totally crazy I know and much to my devastation). I did receive a Pell Grant that covers most of my school costs, but what I need help with is living expenses. My program requires me to attend school from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00ish for the next 12 months. With this schedule I am no longer able to continue my full-time job, although I do plan to try to continue in a part-time status. I have applied for scholarships and grants, but I have not heard back from any yet. I have also applied for personal loans, but because I have a bankruptcy (that I acquired during my divorce) I have been denied. My parents are helping to the best of their ability, but to keep from putting too much stress of the situation on them I have come here to ask for help :)
