Meia is a fighter, and she just survived the unthinkable.

She was brutally attacked and stabbed multiple times in her sleep—in her chest, stomach, both shoulders (with a broken right shoulder), lung, and through her liver. She has defensive wounds on her hand and fingers from trying to protect herself. Doctors told us that her attacker was attempting to kill her.

She has already had two emergency surgeries—the second because doctors had also found that Me’ia had been stabbed through her liver and she was still bleeding. By the grace of God, both surgeries went well. She went from possibly needing ICU to now being in a step-down unit, on round-the-clock pain medication, and facing a long recovery.

We are asking for help with what’s ahead: hospital bills, follow-up surgeries, physical therapy for her shoulder and hand, time off work, and basic living expenses while she heals.
