Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, Ryan and Meghan Campbell experienced a horrendous tragedy this past week. Their son Danny passed away sometime early on Thursday morning. While the cause of death is still being determined, it appears that he died in his sleep and that he did not suffer. Danny was an amazing young boy, just shy of his 2nd birthday. He brought an immense amount of joy to Meghan, Ryan, all of their extended family and anyone else who had the honor to spend time with him.
The magnitude of this tragedy is extremely difficult to comprehend. No parent should ever have to experience what Meghan and Ryan are going through right now. Unfortunately, the scope of this awful loss is compounded by the passing in recent years of Ryan's father, Jimmy Campbell, and his brother-in-law, Chris O'Neil.
Over the past few days, many people who know the Campbell family or who have simply heard this terrible story have reached out looking for a way to help. Nearly everyone has expressed a sense of desperation as we struggle to think of ways we can comfort and aid Meghan and Ryan during this awful time.
To that end, we are collecting donations for a general fund that Meghan and Ryan can use at their discretion. While this money will not lessen Meghan and Ryan's grief and agony, we hope that it can be used to make the coming days and weeks slightly more manageable for them and help to offset the funeral expenses.
If you would like to make a donation, any amount would be greatly appreciated. At this point in time, it seems like this is the most helpful thing that can be done for them asides from emotional support.
