Boobvoyage for Megan McDonnell

My sister, Megan McDonnell, was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. At 35 years old with two very young children and a husband, you can imagine the shock that came with a cancer diagnosis.
Megan has always been very strong willed. When she gets something in her head, nothing can stop her; this is no different. Despite a diagnosis that has rocked us all, her positivity and reassurance that she’s ready to kick cancer’s ass takes a little of the fear out of our minds. Even so, we know the terrifying and hard road ahead.
As usual, Megan doesn't want any help; but the truth is everyone needs a little help sometimes. There is no way to prepare for something like this, and we are all scrambling to get things in order and do everything we can for her.
Megan will undergo a series of surgeries; first, to remove the cancer with a bilateral mastectomy with lymph node dissection in just a few weeks. After just eight weeks of recovery, a second surgery will follow in the new year to complete reconstruction. This aggressive treatment is in an effort to avoid radiation and decrease the possibility of re-occurrence.
As you may know, Megan works two jobs with brutal hours; however, if she doesn’t work she doesn’t get paid. In an effort to try to alleviate some of the stress of the financial burden that will accumulate with her being out of work for an extended period of time, please join us for a fundraiser in Megan’s honor.
Megan’s BoobBoyage Party is Friday, November 8th, 2019 at the Tumble Inn from 8PM-11PM. Tickets are $40 per person, which includes a three-hour open bar. We will also hold a 50/50 and raffle door prizes.
This will be Megan’s last shift bartending; so come out, show your support, and have a blast as we celebrate her Boobs' last hoorah and say BoobVoyage.
