Megan's Gap Medic: Tanzania

My name is Megan Lafferty.  I am an 18 year old medical enthusiast.  I am currently taking a gap year to allow myself the opportunity to understand the medical field and all that is has to offer me.  I am hoping to attend a school that offers an accelerated Physician Assitant Program next fall and continue those studies for 5 years.  I will then work as a PA in local hospitals and eventually go back to school to specialize in pediatric oncology. 
This fundriaser is going to present me the opportunity to travel with Gap Medic.  The chances that this organization grants are life changing.  We, as students, are given the chance to travel internationally and work on cases that intrigue us.  We also help local orphanages and community service projects in our spare time over seas.  I would love the opportunity to pursue this dream however I can not afford it myself.
