Friends and Family!  After years of dreaming and discerning, I believe I have found my calling to work in mental health as a  counselor.   I will be attending the seminary of the southwest in Austin to obtain my Masters in Mental Health Counseling.   The first week of May  I visited the Seminary!  During my visit, I felt right at home.  I see myself not only learning about counseling at the seminary but also being filled up spiritually.   I will be in a diverse faith community seeking to be part of a holistic solution to mental health needs. Being a single woman, my friends and community quickly become my family. Adding a seminary experience to my life will spill out on the community I live in, and on to my family. My education at the Seminary of the Southwest will give me some much-needed education and direction, and equip me to be the spiritual healer I believe God created me to be.  

  I have applied for institutional aid and scholarships. I now have 40% of my tuition covered! The Seminary is dedicated to graduating people with low debt, enabling them to work in nonprofit fields and with underserved populations after graduation and are asking all students to ask for donations to their education.  Please consider a donation to help make this calling possible for me

I will be providing the project materials, light refreshments and an invitation.
