This is a picture of Francine, my sister and her niece, taken only 3 1/2 weeks ago on April 16th. While visiting her in Florida no one knew, not even herself, that she would be rushed into emergency surgery and being hospitalized.
Francine is kind, giving, loving, and loved by everyone she meets. She has for so long put herself second to other people’s needs. But now, it’s time for her to be first for all of us who have been recipients of her love and support.
Life is so fragile and it can change so quickly. From going about her regular routine which included working and family life to which she is so devoted to. Now, she is faced with a life changing episode that prevents her from doing so. In just a short period of time she has undergone 3 serious surgeries (with one more surgery still to come), multiple CT Scans, blood transfusions, and hospitalization that have changed her life and jeopardized the health and financial security she has worked so hard and so long to achieve.
From a routine colonoscopy and being diagnosed, she was scheduled for surgery this May and soon after rushed into two other emergency surgeries due to complications. She has endured so much pain and now as a result of the necessary healthcare to keep her alive and stable, she is left with a difficult financial situation due to medical bills and a health condition that will not permit her to keep up with the routine she’s costumed to.
