My dad had a stroke back in July of 2025. Since then, he had been in and out of the hospital and an assisted living home. During this time, my mom was going through a rigorous process of trying to get him on Medicaid to cover his living expenses. Then, in early January, my mom found out that she had breast cancer. Through all of her issues, she never once stopped taking care of my dad. She was cooking for him every day and spending 4-5 hours daily with him at the assisted living center.

Then, about two weeks ago, my dad went into cardiac arrest and passed away on February 7th. My mom has been with him since she was 14 years old (70 years) and needless to say, she is devastated with the loss. She is set to start on her journey of radiation for her cancer this coming week.

I am trying to help relieve some of the financial stress that the last 8 months have brought to her so that she can focus on her care and treatment.
