Support Matt's fight against NHL!

This Go Fund Me is to help raise funds that will aid Matt and his family in his fight against Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Matt is a 21-year-old man living in Hamilton, Ontario. Prior to his diagnosis he worked full time at Steel Car and enjoyed living an active lifestyle. He has a huge support system and lots of love behind him!! Besides his Mom and Step-Dad, he has 4 brothers and 1 sister and a loving longtime girlfriend. Along with a lot of love and support from other family members and lots of friends. He was officially diagnosed with this disease January 11th, but he was made aware of the mass in the chest around mid-December which measured out as 1.9x2.5 while waiting for appointments his symptoms ended up worsening so they decided it was time to take a visit to St, Joseph’s Healthcare Emergency on December 30th, after spending three days there he found out the tumour’s true size was 10x10x17cm and potential lymphoma. Thanks to the medical team in St. Joseph’s they rushed him into Jurvanski where he later told that he had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and was told he needed to start an aggressive Chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible, He is currently more than half way through his first cycle!

This Go Fund Me was started in order to help raise funds that will help with Matt's comfort. As you would expect this has been a drastic change in Matt's life and lifestyle along with his families. He has extensive medical and life expenses that they are hoping with assistance with. In order for him to receive chemo he will need to be admitted into Jurvanski Hospital due to the extent of the chemotherapy and immunotherapy he needs, this process can be anywhere up to a week at a time.

The medications he requires for comfort and to ensure he does not have any side effects are not currently covered through OHIP or his company benefits. He has also begin to require additional items in order for him to be better supported during this fight and help to care for some of the side effects. During his fight he unfortunately is not able to work as well, so some of the money will be to aid him getting through these next month's comfortably without having to stress over finances.

Any support that you are able to provide will help this family immensely, each and every one of them are good people and they would offer the shirt of their back if you needed it but this time it's up to us to step up for them!!
