Matthew Brian Coers Funeral expense

Donation protected
Matthew Brian Coers, 16, of Coldspring Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2016 as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

My name is Vickie Voelz and I am a friend of the family and it is so heartbreaking that this young man was taken from us at such an early age. He was an extraordinary young man and his family is enduring emotional stress that is beyond words.  What I'm hoping to do with this campaign is to raise enough money so that his family will not have to deal with the financial stress of funeral expenses.

No parent should ever have to bury their child but when it happens, I hope our community can help make things a little easier for the family by eliminating the financial stress and allowing them to grieve for their loss on an emotional level.

Matthew was born January 30, 2000 in Plymouth Indiana. As a young boy he was a student at Caston Elementary School in Fulton Indiana before moving to Coldspring Texas in 2011 where he attended Jr. & Sr. High at Coldspring Oakhurst ISD.

Matthew is a member of the First Baptist Church of Coldspring where he was very active with the youth and could always be found sharing his love of the Lord. He was proud to play for the Coldspring Trojans in Football and Track and was a member of the FFA. He was also a member of The Boy Scouts of America Troop 845 and was a member of 4H for many years.

He was also a big brother and good role model to Michael Coers, Nathan Winters, and Hector Guerrerro.  He was loved and cherished by his mother Michelle Guerroro, and stepfather Enrique Guerrerro and his Grand parents Tari and Mark Bateman as well as many other family members.  His friends reached far and wide and he will be missed by many.

Matthew loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and football, but most of all he loved the Lord. He was a joker who was always smiling and a protector who always stood up for what was right even when it wasn’t popular. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a light to all who knew him.  He had potential to spare and was looking to become a very productive and generous member of society.

Please help his family by donating whatever you can, no matter how small the amount.  If 1000 people donate $5 we will reach our goal.  Please share this fundraiser with all your friends and fellow horse lovers, boy scouts, FFA members, high school football players, big brothers, and anyone else who may have lost a loved one and knows how hard the financial burden is on the grieving family and friends.  Thank you for reading this and a prayer for the family wouldn't hurt right now either.
