On Friday, May 10th at 10:30 am we received devastating news that Matthew was in the hospital under heavy sedation and is on ventilation. Matthew had fallen out of a 3 story window in Toronto after only being there for 2 weeks.
Matthew had broken his hip, femur, right elbow, left arm ligaments, right hand and his upper jaw.
He has had 12 total surgeries since he arrived in the hospital.


Updated story: Matthew and his mother have returned home to Alberta. Right now Matthew is in dire need of funds to get the physiotherapy he needs. Under his current health insurance, it is not covered.  This means that Matthew is unable to get the help that he needs. The total cost of physio is roughly $100 a session, 5 sessions a week. Matthew is currently waiting for disability benefits that may take upwards of 6 months.
