Matrix Maniax Basketball

The Matrix Maniax is an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) girls 6th grade basketball team.  It is a group of diverse young ladies  from Maryland, DC, and Virginia.  These young ladies are committed to playing basketball, and most of their free time is spent traveling throughout the region, making time to play together as a team.  Playing sports gives these girls a common interest and goal, and a team sport, especially for girls, helps to develop a positive body image,  discipline, teamwork, and leadership.  Friendships are formed around the common commitment of playing great basketball, and statistics  show that kids who are involved in sports while in high school are more likely to experience academic success and graduate from high school.   

These girls are working toward the AAU Nationals tournament, where they will be able to represent the Metro DC area against other teams from across the United States.  Even with fantastic coaches who volunteer their free time to help prepare these girls, the  travel expenses, gym costs, tournament fees, uniforms, and equipment become a financial drain.  Please join our team and donate to the dream of the Matrix Maniax winning the AAU National Title.  Donate and Dream with the Team.

Thank you to all of you who have already donated and joined our team's dream.  We are excited to share that we have earned the opportunity to attend the AAU West Coast Championship in Las Vegas, NV.   This opportunity comes with additional financial expenses, so we still need your support. We have increased our funding goal to cover these travel and tournament costs.   Donate and Dream even BIGGER with these amazing girls.
