but know The Masterson Family doesn't need much. We are trying to raise 2,000 for our Startover (Clothes, deposit for new house, common household goods, ect) and Raise as much as we can for Paradise and other families in this time.

My name is Matt Masterson and my wife Maggie Masterson and Daughter Kylie Mae Masterson are 1 of many effected by Campfire Fire. We trying to raise not just for us but for others effected my the fire.

Not having a Vehicle due to my wife stuck and not being able to get home, having to grab a small bag of clothes in one arm and my 3 yr old in the other arm and leave my house which is on fire and walk in the smoke and ash over 100 yards to bushman... just to look at a 360 view of nothing but flames, telephone poles across bushman on fire... I drop my bags and hold my daughter tighter and tell God, "I have done all I can, I put my life in your hands"
The moment I said that, I heard and explosion 30 yards from me, a bus is hurling through the fire and smoke and I just start yelling and waving my one free arm not knowing if he will see me due to how thick the smoke is.
He drives past me but than slams on his breaks. I got on and he told me he didn't even see me but heard my voice..
The driver told me he lived up on skyway and was coming back to get his bus. He decided to go down Clark to see the damage and for some reason decided to go down bushman to get to skyway cuz he thought the connecting streets would be packed.
You can not tell me he wasn't sent from God to pick me up. If he wouldn't have come by, My daughter and I wouldn't be her.
Out of everything that happened, what we all just went though, I woke up today with a feeling of Thankfulness. For what truly made me happy before the fire, I still have, I have my family and friends still here.
My eyes and lungs will heal, my stuff can be bought again, my memories will never fade.
We can overcome this, we will overcome this.
Out of the Ashes, We will rise!
