Hello Friends and Family,

 

Our names are Shelley Robins and Denise Surina-Baumgartner, older sisters to Ronda Massey. We all know what a vibrant, energetic, kind, generous, and selfless person Ronda was, strong in her faith and the best kind of sister, daughter, wife, mother, and friend you could hope for in your life. Ronda would light up the room with her infectious laughter and sense of humor, and we are all better people for having her in our lives.

 

Family always came first, which was a great many people, because Ronda treated friends like family, so caring, thankful, thoughtful, genuine, and unconditionally loving. Ronda's own family was the center of everything. Ronda and Scotte were married for almost 23 years and shared numerous adventures while building a home filled with love and joy to raise Quinn and Surina.

 

As a high school math teacher of 26 years, Ronda's dedication and devotion to her students made them feel valued and inspired them to strive toward their potential.

 

Sadly, Ronda and her family were devastated when she was diagnosed with a very rare stage IV cholangiocarcinoma last July. Ronda put up a valiant fight against her cancer as the warrior she always was, positive she would win the battle, strong and loving to her last breath. Ronda passed in her own home, surrounded by her loved ones as anyone would hope.

 

Central to Ronda's values was the importance of education for Quinn and Surina. We have put this page together to help honor Ronda's wishes that her kids may pursue their goals upon a foundation in education. As a testament to Ronda's character, so many people have reached out to ask what they can do to help her family. We believe this is something Ronda would truly appreciate.
