Mash Family's Home Repair

Domenic, a Sheriff's Deputy and father of 3, is currently on his 3rd deployment with the US Air Force Reserve.  His wife, Katlyn, temporarily relocated closer to family for assistance with childcare for the duration of Domenic's deployment.  Shortly after the residual storms from this hurricane season, Katlyn made the drive to check on their home only to discover that her entire basement was destroyed by water and mold.  Their insurance company is now refusing to pay for the damages.  We have contacted our legal department and there is little we can do, other than raise the money to pay for the damages and remediation.  They have already paid for the mold testing out of pocket and the original estimate from the contractor is well over $6000.00 for the construction costs alone.  This does not include the cleaning and/or replacement of their personal belongings that were destroyed.

The contractors will not begin the work until we can provide 1/2 of the estimated cost as a down payment.  The Mash's home is uninhabitable until the remediation and repair work is complete.  As of right now, Domenic will not have a home to come back to when he returns.
