Cancer—It’s a word no one ever wants to hear but over the last five years we've heard it far too many times, with my Mum and Lisa's Dad both having successful treatments but sadly losing my Dad, Frank, to it in March 2024.

Throughout that time Macmillan was a huge support to all of us - they were a friendly face who were able to answer our questions, offered vital help and advice through every step of the journey and were there to support Dad from his diagnosis through to the toughest of times.

Now we want to give back so on 7th September, Fin and I will be taking on the Sir Chris Hoy Tour de 4—a 90 km bike ride starting in Glasgow and winding through the villages where I grew up. It’s going to be a challenge - I’m not as young as I once was, and I’m definitely not used to chasing an 18-year-old around the course (!) but I’m determined to give it everything I’ve got.

I'm riding to raise funds for Macmillan to help them continue their incredible work, supporting families like ours when they need it most. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot and help make a real difference.
