Help with Marsupilami
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
We recently bought a young Birma cat and the seller failed to mention that she was pregnant. We also don't know the exact age of her, but we suspect that she's less than a year old, and both too young and too malnourished to become pregnant. Last Friday she gave birth to a single kitten after a difficult labour, and it became clear that she wasn't capable of caring for the kitten. Luckily I've worked at a cat shelter so I'm able to raise the kitten in my own, but Marsupilami has become very ill throughout this ordeal. Last night we had to take her to the emergency veterinary clinic where she was committed (hopefully for just one night, we don't know yet). Obviously this has meant considerable costs that we are struggling with, so any help would be most appreciated. Anything helps, really.
This is why you should always spay and neuter your cats. We are already discussing filing charges against the former owner, because when we saw the state of Marsupilami we had to save her, despite everything. If we hadn't it's quite likely that both she and the kitten would've died by now. So we need help with both the medical expenses and the possible legal ones.
It's not easy for us to share this, but we have to do everything we can for this cat. She is the sweetest cuddler ever, always purring and wanting to snuggle. We've only had her for 2 weeks, but we love her so much already and we're devasted this has happened.
Much love,
Debbie & Saga
