Whether she was coordinating a family fund, running the lottery pool, hosting reunions, or leading a fundraiser, Marlene was the one who brought people together. She was often the organizer, and always the cheerleader—rallying those around her with joy, grace, and a contagious can-do spirit.

Marlene passed away on January 10, 2025, but the legacy she leaves behind is wide and enduring. Her life was a masterclass in compassion, strength, and unwavering faith.

On July 19th, we will gather to enjoy each other’s company, share stories, and reflect on Marlene’s incredible life. And the very next day, July 20th, we will celebrate her son Omari’s 14th birthday—a joyful reminder of the love and light she left behind.
