We are the family of Mark Ohmer a well-loved husband, father, brother, son and nephew. We are hoping that the love we feel for Mark is felt by his many friends and that you will be willing to help him during his time of need.
On Tuesday January 5th, Mark was in a horrible car accident while in Omaha Nebraska for work. He has sustained numerous serious injuries including a fractured spine, broken ribs and a crushed foot. These injuries mean that he will be in the hospital and in-patient rehabilitation and unable to work for a very long time. As many of you might know the medical and rehabilitation care he will receive over the coming months is very expensive and is NOT completely covered by insurance, not by a long shot.
Unfortunately in addition to the terrible injuries he also has to fight erroneous charges stemming from the accident. You see, a less that honorable individual has stated that Mark was the driver of the vehicle when his injuries point to the EXACT OPPOSITE that he was IN FACT the passenger and an innocent victim in this horrible accident. A lawyer has been hired and states that the case will be easily won but at the cost of over $20,000.
These fees combined with the overwhelming medical expenses coming his way are just too much for the family to handle financially. We are hoping that the love of friends and family will come through to help Mark, his wife and daughters in this terrible TIME OF IMMEDIATE NEED.
After spending over 15 years in Iraq and Afghanistan defending his country, family and friends Mark has finally made it home and created a new life for himself and his family. That is what makes this situation so much more than just a tragedy, it makes it UNTHINKABLE that a honored veteran and family man is having to fight not only to get back his health but to clear his name!
