Dear friends and family,

With great sadness, we share the news of the unexpected passing of our beloved Mark Kastelanac. He passed peacefully, at the age of 36 years, in Zagreb, Croatia on Dec 29th, 2022.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Sanela, beautiful daughter Lucija (17 months old), parents (Joe and Ksenia), brother Chris and sisters Kristina and Natalie.

Mark was born on October 17th, 1986, in London, Ontario, Canada and moved to Croatia in 2013. There he met his beloved Sanela. They married in May 2021. Together they welcomed the light of his life into this world. His daughter Lucija was born on August 16, 2021. Mark was an exceptionally loving father and husband. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; cooking (head chef at Cimula, his family-run restaurant in Pakostane), singing songs to his sweet daughter, and spending time, fully engaged, with his Lucija and Sanela. Mark was a kind and gentle man, always giving of himself and always there to help. He departs, leaving the legacy of a beautiful family and many happy memories we will hold on to forever.
